Curious on market and pricing
I’m considering selling my white 5900 mile AC car. Curious on what Z’s are currently selling for? I looked briefly at autotrader and autotempest and had very few results...looks like most are listed for 54000 or more.

That seems to be the current market. I've been watching several models of vehicles specifically for a few months, as I am considering a new daily driver. All of them are up a few to several thousand dollars from several weeks ago.

I track pricing monthly (note, this is just asking price, no way for me to track actual sale price)
Prices have gone up about 10k since Jan. ![]()

Very nice! I haven't kept a spreadsheet, but for cars I keep on eye on, I've seen similar % increases. Hellcats and 6th gen ZL1's maybe the exception, so far their prices have held pretty steady in my experience.

Yellow is present day (July), vs previous months, composed over each other. You can see he yellow line has trended north. Edit: Great graph my Mark. As you can see on the graph, his line takes a steady dive to 50K$, and beging a level. I have teh same graph for previous months, it used to be a steady decline to 40k$ then level. Thus, the +10k$ rise over the last 6 months or so.

Sale price matters, not the asking price. 4k mi 2014 w/ a/c was for sale in July for $50k at a Chevy dealer able to be bought for $41k. Another car was listed for $51k with 8k mi and was traded in at $41.5k. There's big margins on these cars listed without doubt

There are only a dozen or so available on line, that's a far cry from the hundreds new sitting on lot's 2-3 years ago. Scarcity, a few recent articles on them being future collectibles and voila, uptrend. Still under the radar and going much higher IMO.

I never understand those prices, to each their own what they want to give up their cars for but that would mean that a numbers limited z28(the last 427 car) has poorer retention of value than a manual chevy SS or a manual LSA CTSV

Truth! But, I firmly believe the Z/28's day will come. Whether I am here to witness it is another story.
