Had a good track battle in Ohio yesterday!
Had a real good battle this past Sunday with John Nemastil. The course was pretty fast but had a tight-ish slalom at the end that we both kept coning away. Neither of us had a clean run going into our last runs. Our raw times were 1 and 2 with him running 77.5's and me running 78.0's. So basically it came down to whoever could make a decent last run and make it clean. I went first and did a 78.8 and I thought for sure that it wasn't going to be enough. I watched his last run and saw a little dirt fly up way out so I knew he cooked a corner in the back, and he dialed it back a notch at the end, and crossed the line with a 78.9 giving me the win!
Here's a video of one of my earlier slalom runs. You can see the course worker running out as I pass the second cone: My last run where I backed it down a bit:

Impressive demonstration (as usual). Car looks and sounds GREAT! I see myself getting involved in this type of competition. Not to stressful on the machinery. Nice and legal, no worrying about people pulling out in front of you OR flashing red and blue lights in the rearview mirror. Autocross season in AZ is just starting to ramp up!

Nice job, plus half the battle is knowing the course layout so you can anticipate the next turn, etc. with just limited runs. Looked fun

What kind of video equipment do you use to film your runs? How about external mounting and where/how do you mount camera in the interior for cool POV shots? I see this as a fun way to combine auto and photo hobbies.

I have a GoPro 7 black edition. It’s suction cupped to the driver 1/4 window and I tape it on as well. I run the GoPro microphone adapter and an external mic with a 15’ cord. The mic is attached to the rear license plate. I used to have a GoPro 2 that I had suctioned to the inside of the window aiming at the driver but it was hard to keep it from vibrating off.
