MRT Discontinues Making Louvers - Last Chance to Get them for 5th Gen
Not sure how many people care about this, as louvers are a really polarizing mod.
MRT made some of the best aluminum louvers for muscle cars in the past few decades. They announced they are discontinuing production of all louvers and giving a discount. Their 5th gen Camaro louvers are one of the last ones in stock, with an email I received from them saying they are down to 30 units. https://www.shopmrt.com/2010-2015-Ca...r-p/12a144.htm This isn't an ad for sponsored post. Just figured I'd let people know. After these go, the only other options out there are basically cheaper Chinese-made options mostly in ABS plastic which don't look nearly as sleek.

I'm not sure how likely it is that anything can go wrong with the louvers themselves unless they got damaged in an accident, but now is probably the time to buy spare hardware like latches (w/ mounting pads) and prop rods. During a sale, I loaded up on 3 spare latch sets because they tend to break and can fade when exposed to the sun. And if I ever traded my car in for a different 5th gen one day (I might upgrade to a ZL1 at some point), I'd need fresh mounting pads to transfer the louvers over.

It's a fair price. It costs about the same even without a discount.

BLU DUCE
Really like mine. Price was a little high but the quality makes up for the price.

You got that right. Every car owner has their own dream and that's great. Louvers aren't part of my car dream but if I bought one with them already on, I would probably leave them on.

I'm 57 and have owned (no exaggeration) almost 80 cars - mostly V8, 4 and 5 speed stuff. A few had louvers like my 79 Mustang Cobra and my 92 Camaro RS just to name two. Wasn't a fan then, still not now.
