Cant afford what I want ??
I am hoping the super smart tire guys on here can help me out here.
I have a new 1LT came with the Run Flats, they seems pretty noisy to me, My choices are these three listed below, the Bridgestone being an incredible deal. Do the folks who know more than me think I will gain enough to spend 700 to 900 to switch. Hoping for quieter, nicer ride, same performance, I do not drive crazy, some spirited now and then. BRIDGESTONE POTENZA SPORT - Max Performance Summer FIRESTONE FIREHAWK INDY 500 Firestone Firehawk AS V2 Thanks for any info and opinions |

Potenza sport is a much better tire than Indy500. Don't even bother with the all season Firehawks, they're the worst of the 3.

* better ride * less weight * and usually improved traction,... In addition to yiweno's recommendation, you can also check out https://www.tirerack.com/ to get more information, see and compare all your choices, tire ratings & review info, and with good prices. Good luck!

If you can't afford to spend the money, then don't. Noisy isn't that big of a complaint.

You listed a mix of tires including both dedicated summer and all-season.
You want less noise, but do you want all-season? Any other concerns like wet grip vs dry grip? You can get 4 tires for about $700 (maybe some shipping on top of that), but plan on at least another $100 to do the swap and balancing. |

I'm an all-season buyer.
But the Potenza's get good comments here. |

I got the Indy 500s for my LT1 2 weeks ago and have driven ~1000 miles since. I can't comment on the noise front since I have an aftermarket exhaust and mostly drive with windows down. However I'm legitimately more than impressed when it comes to grip and comfort.
I got these because the OEM Goodyears were scary whenever the road was wet and I'm still not sure what wheels I want to upgrade to. It just didn't make sense to get a good set of tires for the stock rims but I'm honestly more than content with them. |
