Flares and rear bumper

Anyone know if you have to remove the rear flares to get the rear bumper off? Trying to. Install rear camera from Gen5DIY and I’m not having much luck with the bumper on.

You can remove rear bumper without removing flares. There might be some glue other than the screws in the bumper depending on if factory or someone else installed them. Just don’t pull on flares too much and take your time.
Someone else might have a difference experience if their flares where put on on a Monday with gm employee that had too much adhesive.

It's hard but you don't need to remove the bumper to do that job, we did but only because we changed the tail lights, and when we did that we pull the flares of bumper only to get it off

I got it done. Thanks guys. Had to dremel a small amount of the opening on for the camera on the bumper. Maybe mine was just slightly too small but it was not cooperating at all haha.
