Never seen this before today…. Is this a ZL1 only part or anyone have it on a SS1LE?

I can’t say I’ve ever had a steering problem on track but I’m always a fan of improved cooling.

It seems to only have been included with a 2019 ZL1 1LE and up. ZL1 non 1LEs do not have this extra airflow. So the SS 1LE doesn't this extra air flow.

Does anyone know if these will fit on a SS 1LE? And will they be of any benefit on track?

Yes, they will fit. I have them on my '22 SS 1LE. I only installed them because I will be running ZLE sized 3Rs.

I had a weird issue this past Saturday on the track. I had a "Service Power Steering" on my dash and my car started violently shaking on only my 3rd lap of the day. The steering wheel was shimmying like crazy. I pulled into the paddock and even with the car turned off, the steering wheel and front wheels continued to shake. Finally after about a minute it all stopped. I hooked it up to HP Tuners and the codes I got were U0140 & U0422. I found another thread on here where a guy had the exact same issue, and he had his power steering assembly replaced. I'm in the process of getting that done, so I thought I'd add some extra cooling to hopefully help a bit.

I had the same issue a few years ago.
It required a CPAS reflash. After reflash, I've had no issues.
Service bulletin 19-NA-130. For your reference.

Thank you, waterman! I've read from others that sometimes the reflash helps, and sometimes it doesn't. I guess it depends on the cause of the problem. I've spoken to three different mechanics, two which are GM, and they all agree I need the entire assembly replaced.
