Way to steal my idea! =P

I've got that model kit to be built along with another 10 or so cars and planes. I was thinking about going over to one of the dealerships to pick up a can of Aqua Blue Metallic paint for use with the model. I won't do the rally stripes though. Black hockey sticks for me.

The difference here is that I actually mixed up the Aqua Blue Metallic basecoat from my Dupont formula and mixing system at my bodyshop. (I know, I know, I have too much time on my hands!) I even cleared it with Dupont 7900 clear. I also mixed up a light gray colored sealer to finish the interior like light gray leather. The sealer is a flat finish, so it looks more like "leather". The model kit came molded in a crappy-looking silverish gray with stick-on black stripes. I had my sign shop buddy next door scan the black decals and cut them out in white. I was surprised he managed it considering the pinstripe detail is so fine, but after 2 trys, he got it. So here it is, ABM with light gray leather interior and white stripes...what do you think? I was on the fence about ABM when I saw it on a HHR, but here it is on a Camaro...and in sun and shade...I think it looks fine. This color has green and yellow and blue tints as well as some blue pearl. In some lighting, it looks more turqouise, but I think it looks good.
I want one!

It's the Revell "2006 concept Camaro" snap-tite model. I haven't built a model car since I was 16, but I was surprised at the detail on this snap-tite model. Not bad at all. It was pricier than the good ole days at $14.95! I remember paying a buck or two for them back in the day. I did a snap-tite cuz I was in a hurry!
