Another stolen Camaro...
So, I park my car I a very busy mall parking lot on Saturday, when I return after only 15 minutes in the store, I come to where my baby was parked only to find it missing. After only 15 minutes!
Wtf GM? You build this amazing machine only to give it the worst anti-theft protection. This happened south of the San Francisco Bay Area. Apperantly, the SF Bay Area has a high rate of stolen Camaros, according to the officer. 2015 AGM 2ss I will miss you dearly. I'm not looking for sympathy. This is just a little rant from an bummed out ex-Camaro owner. SF Bay Area Camaro owners be wary. Protect your investment, because Onstar is pretty much useless. |

I keep reading that Camaro's keep getting stolen in California. Makes me very afraid to travel to California in my Camaro at all.

Sorry to here about your car....Just an FYI for EVERY CAMARO OWNER: While I was purchasing my new Silverado a month ago, the finance guy saw me drive up in the 1LE, he pulled me aside and told me that they had lost 8 cars in just a few months off the lot! I asked how they took him...tow truck? Flatbed? NOPE, he told me that video showed a group of guys with a computer.....simply hacked the cars and drove off. Yikes! we are all the "next" car to be stolen.

@ BMWW do not let my story discourage you from visiting CA, it's an awesome state.
@ knock why would you post such an Ignorant reply? The worst part is that I might have to pay out of pocket, since i did not get gap coverage and the car depreciated in value so much. Kill me! |

I will visit California, just not in my Camaro. I purchased gap insurance for this very reason, my car is very rare in color/model in my area and was told that it may attract the wrong attention/people.

I never want to visit the bay area ever again. I don't want to get political but my god the crime rate is high there. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss man. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Wow more and more are getting stolen. Sorry for your loss, I don't know what I would do if I lost my baby. Hopefully, they don't start jacking cars in SoCal as well.

If ur in NorCal keep a look out for ur Camaro especially in the Bay Area. Just had a buddy in Palo Alto had his stolen Sun Night from his house and a friend earlier this year at his work parking garage in Pleasanton. All done by hacking as well as his jobs security camera caught it. Sorry to hear OP.
