Stock 09 Z06 vs My SS...
Came across one last night, and we didn't race just played a little but that got me thinking what would the outcome be. I have cam, headers, CAI 463 rwhp 419 torque (m6). I think from a stop the vette would have me, but from a 20 mph roll I think I might get him. Even from a stop if I got traction I would believe I could keep up...what do you think?

I think if the Vette hooks, from a roll or otherwise, he's got you.

You may have a little more horse power then the Vette but you have to remember that the Vette is significantly lighter and more aerodynamic so if you race to high speeds the Vette will come out on top.

yea the top end is over 186 or something like that, i'm sure he would pull away at high speeds. I was just surprised, I expected him to pull away at will, and that wasn't the case.

the weight man. how many ported termi's have been killed by C6Z's? countless.
440rwhp/3150lbs = 7.15 lb/hp 463rwhp/3860lbs = 8.33 lb/hp you need 539rwhp and extra for aero. the vette beats more powerful cars with aero all the time. just my thought. when i built the turbo 4v, the c6z was the target. i lost weight down to 2973 for that very reason.

yea yesterday was more like spirited acceleration, he probably wasn't trying real hard. I like u guys thought he would kill me pretty bad, just surprised at how well I did do. In a race he would have me...time for that TT setup!

Your going to need more than you have now. Throw the same mods in the vette and dont even think about it. I seen a 08 z06 when I was at the dyno, cam, intake, exhaust put down 541 at the tire.

One of my friends that I go to the road track with has an 07 Z06 with headers and I think he is putting down about 485 to the wheels. We are close in speed on the straights but he is better through the corners and braking, of course...... until I added about 700lbs of weight to his trunk.....
