I had weight gain but it is well worth the trade everything taste better and I know everything smells better since I no longer smoke.

Good luck
2011ss/rs you really are a F** B******!

I smoked for 20 years and quit cold Turkey almost 4 years ago.
Best thing I could have done.

If you really want to quit then just stop

Good luck! In the end you will save your health and lots of money!

I smoked for 20 years and it it took me three attempts before I was successful. I quit cold turkey and chewed a lot of gum. It gets easier over time but I don't think it ever goes away. Cigarette smoke still smells good but smokers do not. You have to really want to quit. I don't think you can do it because someone else wants you to quit.

To all who are trying to quit, good luck, you can do it.

Well done with smoking cessation!

Anyone tried Wellbutrin as a tool to help you quit? Several people I know swear by it.

This thread wouldn't exist if quitting was easy. Some of us are looking for support. Gum time.

Agreed! I, too, quit cold turkey and there are days that I would give anything just to light one up. Even 9 years later, Extra Spearmint & Extra Peppermint gum are 2 things I NEVER leave home without - I honestly think chewing gum helps!

It's such a hard habit to break but I know all of you that are trying can do this!!

I've been smoking for over 40 years and have quit for short periods over that amount of time.
About ten years ago, I went from cigarettes to those little filtered cigars.

Only problem is, I was inhaling the cigars which is probably worse than inhaling the cigarettes.
I was just kidding myself with the cigars.

I quit because I have 2 small grandchildren and another coming next month.
They are the joy of my life and I want to be around for them as long as I can.

I quit cold turkey......It's been almost 3 weeks and I'm over the worst of it (I think)
I haven't even had one puff since Dec. 18th.
I really don't see myself ever smoking again.
4 weeks today!
Lots of urges, but I haven't given in....not one puff!
I really think I got it licked now.
Good luck to all who are trying to quit!
