Damn you Chevy and Gm..

what do you guys think i should do? i took my car in last month because my motor had blown due to oil levels and what not that affect the LLT motor. they replaced without any questions or anything. but before i turned her in, she was turning on fine and everything no problems. (of course before the motor took the dump) and well after i get her back i get in the car at the dealership and the car takes a little to start up i said fine maybe its low on gas and what not. so i drive off and put gas in the car. and turn her back on..still the same problem well i leave for winter break vacation and no one uses my car..well i happen to get back the problem still being there -_-. well i decided to tell the dealership and they said to swing by to check it out. so the day before i take her in the car decideded to take a dump yet again. wouldnt turn on or anything. well the i get the car towed in and everything in the middle of the night at the dealership and the next morning i show up to see what had happen to my car. well they tell me that its the Fuel Injectors and that they will fix it right away. i CLEARLY asked. hey is it covered under warranty? and they said yes don't worry about it. so i leave happy as a clam. well today i walked in and they tell me that the car is ready but the fuel injectors AREN'T covered under warranty that i might have to pay 400-500$ for the problem geting fixed. now here comes where i get mad about. the car i have ownded for rougly 2 years. i bought her brand new im the first owner and well. the problems i have experianced already..the transmission had to be replaced because of 2nd,3rd gear grind. the motor had to be replaced because it blew and now this? are you serious? im am in no way willing to pay for these repairs. i feel like i have gotten a lemon! what the hell should i do? oh and btw when they swap my motor or w.e. the hell they did they left my tunnel brace or w.e. its called LOOSE and it FLEW under the car while driving -_-

im mad at the fact they told me it was covered and then its not. wth.

Contact GM customer support directly and lodge a complaint to get a district person involved. Irregardless of the mileage or whatever reason they give you for it not being covered, the original repair was done "in warranty". The injectors should be considered as a contributing factor (if they are dumping fuel it can lead too washing the oil off the cylinder walls and diluting it to the point it causes increased consumption) and/or consequential damage of the previous failure....

I believe that before they proceed with any work that the customer will be charged for, they have to give you a written estimate that you sign off on before any work starts.

Sounds like they told you it was the fuel injectors and it would be covered under warranty. Then they went ahead and did the work, after the work was done, have now decided that you should pay?
Don't think it works like that......

Was the FI replaced with the new motor?

Why do you keep going back to the same dealer who replaced a cooked motor for low oil, and gives you back the car with the new motor 2 qts. of oil low and the tunnel brace falling off?
I would have never stepped foot in that service dept. again. Gotta be more to this story.............................

I can't understand why they wouldn't be under warranty. If the car is less then 5 years and 100k on the odometer. Did you ask them why?

Fuel injectors are not covered under powertrain warranty, but they should be covered under bumper-to-bumper if under 3 years/36K miles.

I believe fuel injectors are covered under the emissions warranty... but I forget the terms for that one.

I agree, there is more to this story.

Hey good read. I was unaware. I guess I assumed wrong in thinking that the injectors would be part of the powertrain.

Even still, wouldn't the service department at least give the customer a call telling him that they are doing non warranteed work with an approximate cost of $$$$. Would you like us to proceed with the work?

Yes, they definitely should notify you before doing non-warranty work
