Very Sad
Someone wanted to make an offer on my car last night at a car show. IF I end up selling I want to go back to a Viper. It was a lot of fun when I had my 95RT/10 Venom.. |

i believe the viper has been reported to be taking a year off. then returning 2011/2012 as a completely new model, borrowing parts from the ferrari bin. hopefully they don't stray too far from the viper formula |

I don't think the Viper is being discontinued...just the current body style.
At least that is what I gather from this article. |

From what I understand it's going on a 2-3 years hiatus and coming back as an all new vehicle, benefiting from their new European connection of course.

Imagine a GT with more carbon fiber body panels, aluminum and titanium frame pieces and a blown 5.0 or 5.4 from the GT350/500... It would be fast as stink . |

Viper the GT500 engine is basically the engine from the Ford GT. Blown 5.4 DOHC.

Don't Like it? Suggit.

I thought Viper got cut a couple years ago...
Still sad to see it go, looks like Corvette is the only American supercar still standing... I guess Ford GT counts, but that's barely even a production car... It looks pretty good though. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the Dodge Ram looking grille.

That is why I said 2011 GT500 and not 2010. |

Yes the Ford GT motor was all aluminum. The 2011 GT500 Blown 5.4 DOHC is closer to what the production GT had. Albeit with different cams and other slight changes.
