The dash isn't different, the wiring harness is, or at least that is what I thought

Yeah, that's what I thought. I retrofitted the 2013 dash into my 2010 and it was a direct swap. Everything about the 2 dashboards are the same except a few minor things

Not sure if this has been asked before, but is it possible to keep the backup camera visible through the rear view mirror of a 2012 and add the Mylink unit?
To me, it feels more natural to look through the rear view mirror while backing up rather than to look down at the screen.

Well I got a response this morning to the e-mail I sent yesterday.
"Walter Thanks for the email. We are able to retro fit the 2013 MyLink/Nav technology into the 2010-2012 and parts are available. System is not cheap due to all the parts that are involved...runs $1849.00 plus shipping. However, when you consider everything that you will be gaining the price really is not that bad. You will be getting the MyLink technology which gives you the Pandora and Stitch apps, the phone interface that downloads your phonebook to the system...gives you a onscreen dial pad and displays all your missed, dialed and received calls. You will also be gaining wireless Bluetooth streaming audio and voice recognition features that allow you to verbally change sources, play tracks ect. On the navigation side you will also pick up the voice recognition features to speak to the navigation and the turn by turn guidance will be place on the vehicle speaker system while it fades the music back...total factory integration! Compare that to the cost of an aftermarket dash kit that doesn't look all that great, a decent deck that gives you similar features and all the interfaces that are required to integrate the radio and retain your factory features...not to mention not having to buy a separate XM tuner to keep XM..the cost really is not all that bad considering your getting OEM equipment. As far as the install goes there will be some wiring involved....as you are adding circuits that are not there currently. We are currently in the process of getting the install documented and a video put together and will realistically be a couple weeks away before that is ready. So if this is something you're looking to get done, we can definitely help, but it will be best to wait until we have everything documented so things go smoothly. I will be happy to go over more of what's involved and answer any additional questions you may have, feel free to give me a call at the number below and we can discuss it further. Anthony" I am going to wait things out. Also I have more TRUST in what Ofer does then in what others do, this includes dealerships. All of the Mods that Ofer has helped me do with my car have come out perfectly. At least one that the dealership tried to do, they broke the part and will not replace it because they claim that it was a defective part, and I was still required to pay for their failed attempt. Walt B.
