Purchasing a Gen5 ZL1 or Z/28

Was ebay, autotrader, car.com shopping around for the fun of it today. It seems that both cars are now going for about the same prices in the mid 40's. Both are great cars so made me wonder which one would be the one to buy for that price?

If you plan to track your car a lot grab the Z/28.

Anything else get the ZL1.

I'm actually going to try and pick up a local (to me) ZL1 here tomorrow! Since it will see a mix of Road and Track.
