Do these fit the tail light properly? I bought a pair of tail light covers like these and they don't completely fit my tail light. Maybe they are from a different company...

I personally am not a fan of these. I own them and have them installed on my car currently. They are not a perfect fit, the 3m tape is slightly visible when the tail lights are lit, and the top of the plastic/acrylic has white cut marks on it where it was cut out. In my opinion, paint your tail lights instead of using these, which will be my next step.

I have the side marker and reverse lights, very satisfied with these,wish yall had some for the wifes mustang though.

I previously had the vinyl covers, ordered these because I wanted a darker tint and so far not so good. They don't fit perfectly over the tail light and stick out a little bit so you can see light where the cover isn't covering properly. I was wondering if there was any why I could fix these problems?

I am also not a fan of these either. Can you explain how you would go about painting your taillights? And if you have done so already could you post some pics of the finished product?
