Charger SRT8 vs. Camaro SS

Close call performance wise. Honestly though I believe that they totally ruined the exterior styling. I always thought of the '70 model Chargers as the Iconic muscle car, and this doesn't due the car it's justice in the looks department.

the Camaro SS beat the challenger in 0-60 1/4 mile so it will be faster than the charger as well ... all the LX platform interiors are the same lmao ... gets boring but a lil more comfortable. the exterior is nice IMHO

Actually owners have gotten into the 12s with stockers, same with the Challengers. Most aren't, but it is the same with the Camaro, it should be a drivers race, IE the guy was playing catchup, so you had the better reaction time on him.

I figured they'd be somewhere around our performance level. I was going to buy one a couple years back until I actually saw one. :/

Yeah...if someone is 'catching up', that typically means you're the better driver, but they have the faster car.

He could have been faster if it wasn't 100% stock. The cars are so close that a couple bolt ons are enough to tip the odds in his favour.

I raced a 300c srt8 it was modded. (exhaust ,intake maybe tune )if he got the jump it was hard to catch up took a long stretch of road. if I got the jump I kept pulling away ..all driver I think ..in my stock SS manual

The V6 mustang could be faster than a SS if it wasn't 100% stock.

The only reason its a Charger is so it sells. Its targeted at the person who either had a Charger, or wanted a Charger back in the day. They threw the word HEMI on it. Now that those people are all grown up, they need a 4 door, comfy car, with reasonable gas mileage. They threw it all together and thats the Charger of today.

I doubt the Charger can handle half as good as the camaro.

The Charger SRT8 has a bit firmer ride and better handling than the Challenger SRT8, and the Challenger SRT8 seems to outslalom the Camaro in recent tests. Thus, half as good as the Camaro would not be very good at all.......
