Why the long wait at event 3000 and 3300?

Why is there such a long time frame at 3000 and again at 3300. Thisis DAMN irritating. Seeing people that ordered in February already getting their cars and some of us that ordered on day 1 are still waiting for ours to get built. This whole pre order ordeal has been BS? WTF?

I thought the whole pre order thing was that we would get our cars first, then they say they need to get every dealer a car, now late orders are getting theirs in two months (8weeks), mine was ordered 28 weeks ago.

The pre-order cars are taking longer to do the reflashes and the updates and the window indexing.

No way to tell. I should have had a VIN 2 weeks ago. They're pissing a lot of people off with how they're handling it.

Are you getting the manual or automatic?

did you order stripes that are installed at the factory? Not saying this is the reason but I am in the same boat as you and I have CGM stripes. Just curious.

I just got back from my dealer. So far I went from 3000 to 3400 in a little over two weeks. So, I think that's pretty good. He called GM and they said next week should be 3800 then quality then on it's way home. Like others have said, Camaro configuration may have a lot to do with it. I ordered 2LT/RS IBM with sunroof.

I think they're starting to get caught up and on schedule. Husker's car was pretty much right as it should be.
@3000 for one week

I was at 3000 for over 3 weeks. I think they're going to make good progress towards getting back on track this week now that most of the dealer cars have been built.

Could it be because of the dealership? I know dealers get certain allocations based on previous sales. I don't know if that applied to sold-orders or just inventory units for dealer lots. But maybe buying from a high-volume dealership helps? I ordered from a large Illinois dealer in late Jan. I went to 3000 about 2 weeks ago and am already at 3400.
