Who wants a FREE aftermarket hood?

It does not come without some sacrifice however.

We need your stock hood for development purposes for 6-8 weeks and you will need to bring your car in for a test fit once the new hood is created (Fullerton).

We are looking at making the Z28 hood most likely first. Other hoods will follow.

Be the first to have one and for free. We can also hook up a great price on getting it painted.

Post up if you would be willing to work with us.

Here is the thread to see what the order of hoods styles will be made from most popular first and so on.

There is always a catch right, but to save over $500 I think is worth it i am sure someone will agree.

I agree its a good choice. But to some of us the original hood is worth more. Just my $0.02.

I do not believe that they need to keep the original nor do damage to it, but i will have to double check.

for me, it would be more of a i won't have my car for the 6-8 weeks it takes. i just simply couldn't do that. my camaro will be my only car (besides my wife's car, but she needs it for work and when she's not working, we have a 2 year old. i can't leave her at home with no car)...also, i work 12 hour shifts, either 5pm-5am or 5am-5pm and i can't have her getting up that early to take me to work or pick me up. not with a 2 year old.

NOt an issue as it turns out. This is the message I got back.

I would need the hood at least 8 weeks. What we can do is make him an OEM hood in carbon fiber so he can use his car while we have his hood. During that time we will be working on other styles. Yes the paint on the hood will be removed. If he gives us the hood he can have a free hood and any carbon accessories we make until the end of 2010.

Your in Redondo, Where abouts? (PCH and Prospect here)

So i get all CF products they make for free along with a new hood. In return i only have to give up my OEM for 8 weeks and then get it back? Will the OEM hood be in the same condition we gave to him? other than paint, saw that they will remove the paint.

Please let me know .. i'd be most interested in this if it all sounds good.

Well Ya you get the CF hood so you can still drive your car while they work with your hood, plus you will get an aftermarket hood (likely the first will be the Z28 look, but you can wait for any other that are made, stinger, cowl induction, L88 etc...). If you choose to let them keep the OEM hood they will give you any other CF product they make through the end of next year.

Ah no.

Spoke with Phil and Brandon and you got a big hole up front for six weeks while they build a stock hood.

Then they still need your hood for another 2-4 weeks to do custom work. Stock hood has to be repainted.

Any idea which custom hood is going to be build first? Will they do a chin spoiler for the front?
