Attaboys! Without guys willing to push the boundaries, they would be too close. Push and learn

after seeing red jewel,s motor give out in texas 1/4 mile track that caused him to roll his camaro about 6 times over the rail, i would def be kissing my ass goodbye everytime i ran @ the track with this rwhp on a stock bottom end..imo, you better cage it..

Everyone knows that the LS motors will take a ton of power and on boost but for how long. I know it sounds cool to push the boundaries of these stock engines but I am pretty sure no one is going to be real thrilled when they go POP! I just got my copy of Hot Rod and they took a 4.8 LS motor and ran it to 26.5psi and over 1200hp and nothing broke and they did over 60 runs but even they know it is borrowed time. Not trying to put anyone down, I just dont understand the point of building a stock motor to these limits as it just doesnt make sense.

Pretty impressive numbers, but I have to agree. Why would you spend that kind of money and not spend the extra for a new crank, rods and pistons? Compared to the rest of the build that would be cheap insurance.

There are plenty of LS motors producing big numbers and lasting a long time, but as mentioned no guarantees. How hard you drive the car and the quality of fuel used are some factors to consider. Most people pushing motors this hard are fully aware of the consequences, but want the big numbers. I guess we could blame it on the internet
