If you shim up the stud that the cover attaches to the 3/8 will fit. Saw someone use washers. But I would think any small tubing should work. Might even work with the 1".

it should fit with the engine cover your gona need the g8 extension tube and raise the stud. If you get the plenum spacer too the engine cover wont fit.

Not sure that is wise maybe wrong but I think 1" is good but more you lose too much in results.

Thanks for bringing it back up... I've never actually seen the 1", and have never seen a vendor offer a 1", only the 3/8"... I remember reading the 3/8" iceolator VS Mace 25mm shootout, and RX saying it wasn't a fair comparison because the iceolator is offered in 1" (~25mm) as well, but I could never ever find anyone that had offered it.

![]() Buy the 3/8" versions and don't look back. The 1" has not proven anything on the dyno and if anything, shown losses in certain RPM/Speed ranges. I'd suggest that the 1" version be reserved for those who are going to do some FI on the car. That way it has a fighting chance to make a difference. I have a few of the 1" versions on the shelf....they've actually grown moss and legs and cruise around the shop from time to time to see what it's like to be close to a car since they haven't ever been. Chances are they never will be on one either. Tough to sell something to somebody that doesn't give em a bang for the buck. Our experience of course but hey, maybe we're doing it wrong. ![]() ![]() Ivan |
