“Best Sounding “ will always be subjective in my opinion. I think most will agree for starters. Long tube headers with hi flo cats. After that I feel it’s a matter of opinion. Personally mine go into just a muffler delete with jpipes and I love the way it sounds There’s loads of options and many sound pretty good in my opinion just slightly different.

Long tubes and a x pipe make a world of a difference. Then after that it’s whatever muffler or lack of that you like. I enjoy the old muscle car sound so flowmasters for me and it sounds like a nasty old school muscle car. If you want something more sports car sounding then go corsa or jpipes.

Long tube headers with high flow cats and Solo Mach XL catback is what I've been running for years.

I have Kooks LT, high flow cats and NPP exhaust. I feel no need to change it. Sounds good to me and not too terribly loud when putzing around.

If you stick with stock headers & replace the primary cats with high flow cats, catback exhaust, will it throw a code? Just wondering if the HFCs will throw a code. Sorry to hijack the thread.

If it throws anything, it will be a catalysts efficiency code.

So, is that what usually happens? I'm asking because I have a catback I'd like to install and if I should change the primaries to high flow when I install it, I'd rather do it all at the same time.

High flow cats will throw a code. Plus to have rear o2 sensors installed you have to weld in bunds into the exhaust. Gotta tune out the rear o2’s after high flow cat install.
