I believe now that the ZL1 announcement is done, and that vehicle to go on sale real soon, the Z28 will follow close behind, for those who want something a little different.
I think the release of the Transformers 3 movie this July 1st, "may" play a role, but that's just speculation, because the ZL1 will have exhausted it's hype by then.

I, like the rest of you, am just providing my thoughts, be it right or wrong, it's a lot of fun hoping.

ISN'T THAT RIGHT, THOSE OF YOU IN THE GM TOWERS?
The ZL1 was available a long time ago. I purchased my SS in May 2010 and there were materials at the dealership to have work done to your vehicle to have it a ZL1 vehicle. Nothing has changed just more hype. I guess GM partnering with SLP on the ZL1 while they take another decade to come back with the Z28.

The ZL1 is not a GM product it's an SLP offering to mod your Camaro.

I think the Z28 will end up being an appearence package for the 2SS current trim. Maybe GM GFX will be standard and different wheels, stuff like that.

I don't think it has to do with SLP directly, but I know what you're saying.

Afterall they are a Performance parts company.

I considered that, read his post again, and decided 'nope... He's misinformed.'

The Z28 package has always been a performance package. The RS is the apperrance package. No way they make that mistake. That would go down as one of the worst decisions GM ever made.

.....suspension, bigger sway bars, factory tuned performance exhaust, tuned, upped hp, etc. That would be very appealing

Z-28 will probably be something to compete with the new Boss 302 from Ford, probably a perked up LS3, and upgraded suspension, and bigger rubber. Maybe a few decals and stripes.
