Deep Freeze

So, Kevin started by getting the center HX in there and clearing the way

Then it was time for the Chiller. For those of you that don't know much about them, surprisingly the Demon was recently released with one from the factory about the same time we filed for our patent. Luckily the units are different, so I am not worried about it. The Chiller uses the AC compressor to take the coolant down to near freezing. It has all the bells and whistles to bypass the heat exchanger so it doesn't pick up heat when it's too cold and also the AC inside still works; however, can be diverted to 100% Chiller AC when in Race mode. I'll have more info and pricing on this soon, but we're targeting this under $1800 and it is a complete plug and play system with no cutting and need for a lot of the challenges of the other units out there.

This is of course accompanied by 1" lines, our LT4 Supercharger adapters to go to the AN fittings

The big Stewart 1" pump that moves the fluid like a hot tub! Depending on what we find, we may end up adding an additional fluid reservoir too based on the overall BTUs of the system for longer sustained temperatures for the half mile and mile races.

We also beefed up the trans cooler to a triple fan thermostat controlled Setrab unit in the belly pan like we've ran so sucessfully on my 427 C7 with a big converter in it and beside it where the old side heat exchanger was, Kevin made a bracket for the remote oil cooler since the OEM one had to go to make room for the turbo piping.

The custom mini crash bar also made a nice coolant passage to clean up the front end

You're just pulling out all the stops on this one aren't you. Wowza! ...and with most everything tucked under stock panels they'll never see it coming. It's truly magnificent! Thanks for the play-by-play and explanations on the build.

SPI Secondary Port Injection Kit

I had to delay the build thread for a bit till I could finish the marketing on our SPI Secondary Port Injection Kit. We've been working on this and testing it for a couple months now, and after the incredible success and ease of install. The SPI Kit comes with all you'll need from fuel tank, to injector tips, rails, and the necessary option for your supercharger or manifold, including us being able to put the the bungs onto your Whipple or Procharger manfiold or including the adapters for your stock LT4 supercharger!

https://weaponxmotorsports.com/produ...-cts-v-lt1-lt4

The Camaro was one of the driving factors to push for port injection. Up until this point, like most shops, we were bandaiding fuel delivery with methanol, which works, but has it's inherent problems - another fuel to fill, more electronic and hard parts to worry about failure, the lack of even distribution amongst cylinders, etc. So, we forged ahead and worked on the port setup with my forged sleeved 427 ZL1, the stock block LT4 Procharged F1X Z06, and the big boy Whipple V3 build we did with a forged sleeved 388 cubic inch engine.

We started at the tank with a separate fuel supply to a massive pump, and this ties into the high side as well as the port side to supply fuel to the port rails and injectors, then returning through the regulator back to the tank. The fuel is controlled by our stage 2 version on my ZL1, which will have launch/traction control as well as boost by gear as well! So, we'll dial in the launch this year and bring the pain up top with more boost on the big end.

Got the secondary all wired in, my version has a lot of bells and whistles like launch control and boost by gear etc, so it took longer than our basic version.

ZL1 1LE front end came in, so I had that painted and put on. Yes, I know the dive planes are counter productive for a drag car LOL, but I dig the look. I'll either vent them or just remove them when going for the record numbers.

Impressive fabrication and craftsmanship.

Interested in seeing the numbers that she puts down.

No one has built a 6th Gen ZL1 even close to this. Absolutely stunning and a Demon Slayer for sure!
