Under hood beeping
When I shut off the car I notice a faint beeping for a short time after the car is off. The doors, hood, trunk are closed, the car is off and the keys are in my pocket. It isn't a very loud beeping but it lasts for several minutes. it isn't a constant beeping but it comes and goes and then finally stops. I don't notice anything wrong when I start up the car and there are no other issues.
What is it?

I hear a very faint noise and I think it's the ballasts or something to do with the LED's in the headlights. Is it that faint of a noise?

It is a beeping definitely, not a hum.

I noticed the same thing when washing my car...my daughter thought it was coming from the front wheel...tire pressure sensor maybe....haven't heard it in some time now...scooby doo mystery fer sure....

I've heard it on my wifes A8 1SS more than once. It's definitely under the hood. I didn't even think about the HID ballasts, but I think that could be the culprit.
I've never heard it on my M6 2SS. Both are MY2017.
