ZL1 worth double of SS?
Hey guys, I need some advice. I bought a manual 2011 SS Vert a few years back, only had 5,000 miles. Bought it for $28,000 Canadian-Loved that car
Sold it last year for $30,000 CDN dollars. I've been trying to find a low km ZL1 Vert manual in Canada, very hard to find one with under 20,000 miles. I found one in the States, a 2014 ZL1 Vert manual with only 5,000 miles. The guy wants $50,000 US dollars, so, by the time I get it back to Canada, it will cost around $65,000 Canadian, after exchange, taxes, import fees. So, I want to know if the ZL1 is worth double than my SS I had last year? Is the supercharger really that much more fun (powerful) than the 430hp that comes with the SS? Thanks, appreciate your thoughts. |

A ZL1 is far more than just a supercharger. You would benefit by more research.
The ZL1 has much more power that you can feel than a stock SS. The LSA motor can easily be mod'd without even going into the engine to 700crank hp. Do you enjoy spinning tires or braking fast or going around corners quickly. How much is that worth to you? I think with the above considerations you should have kept your SS. You could have added 100hp to it if stock wasn't enough, and it wouldn't cost you more than a few thousand. |

Glad you clarified some things there, since I've never driven a ZL1, just Youtube videos.
I guess that probably the next step is to test drive one and see for myself. I just wanted some options on if bumping up almost double in price was worth it in the end. Thanks |

i would not take a ZL1 vert if you gave it to me WAIT that's a lie i would take it and sell it ta buy one with a roof. 50k for a low mileage ZL1 is kind of the going rate.
