The reasoning GM is using for not adjusting the seat does not make any sense.

My wife is 5'4" or 5" around there, I am 6'1". My TPW is 4/19. I find I am not concerned about this Truth be told when my wife and I go somewhere her feet are on the dash and she is kicked back snoring! I dont plan on having an issue!

Might I ask, Are most of you with the issue in SS' or LT's?

Slap some shims under the rear bolts. Get longer, hardened, bolts if needed. The front of the seat is already up pretty high, it's the rear that is sunk too low for some. The front is a hook and channel set up, not an easy raise to that anyway. But the rear is just two torx bolts through the tracks. Why not just put an approx 1/2" to 1" shim under the track, longer bolts... I'd bet just that little raise would make a big difference. Would have zero affect on airbags, seat sensors...

I am 5' 5" and the seat is definitely too low feels like I'm sitting in the bathtub. I have only sat in the passenger seat twice for about 10km thats all I could stand. A fix would be most welcome. I just drive all the time easier than having to adjust the seat. Plus my hubby has his own Camaro so he doesn't mind too much!

.........and I think we did a remarkable job of doing just that.
then why did the interior get changed? That was perfect too. I thought the concept interior was pretty cool. and also If I cant have my GF ride with me with out having to bring a bucket that well, kinda breaks the deal. Unless someone from Gm wants to clean the interior every time someone shorter than 6 feet rides in the car.

Exactly my thought only the spacers should have the little pins that go into the floorboards. Maybe just the head of some cap screws in the bottom of the spacers.
Someone from GM should comment on the EXACT reason why this is not being given the go ahead!

My wife is 5' 8" and actually said she felt the seat was too high - I told her about the complaints and she said it wasn't an issue. The heights of the people could make a difference I understand. My car was built in Nov - maybe they changed something? Not sure.

Thats what I did. I added 1'' spacers and longer hardend bolts. The wife 5'3'' dosen't complain any more.

I'm just waiting to hear from Fbodfather as the WHY he is discouraging this.
Again, doesn't make sense to me unless he can explain himself.

Nobody is going to be able to officially give you the go ahead on modfying something. The car wasn't tested that way, so nobody speaking officially is going to be able to comment.

But if your a do-it-yourselfer, and you look at those two bolts, I see nothing preventing me from shimming that track up a bit. Probably more risky to drink milk a day past the expiration date.
