If you mean the mildly rough idle...Completely normal.

Don't you just love that feeling when the engine is idling a little rough? It feels so alive even when idle .

Depends on if you are talking about a lopey or a rough idle. If it is bad bad it could be a misfire.

Mine is lopey and I think thats great... My 02 idles 800 rpms or better this Ls3 at 500-600 is normal to be a bit untamed with the RPM and cam combo

Todays engines are designed different than the old days. With improvements in head designs the cam is a bit more aggresive than stock in the old days. That is what causes the lopey idle when it is cold. Older generation engines needed a lot more performance mods to get the power that stock engines get today. I have an aftermarket cam in mine so it is lopey all the time. It sounds mean and it is mean.

Yes! And I used the term "rough" loosely..it isn't really a rough idle...it is a mild cam idle. If you have ever driven a cammed car and you get in the stock 2010 LS3,at first your like hmm...it has a little bump at idle, just enough to let you know it is alive. But then it isn't even noticable after a week or so..perfect mix of stock refinement and oldschool muscle for the majority. Personally I prefer a cam that makes you have to time when to grab the door handle.. "Yhaut.......yhaut.......yhaut...... But of course that isn't for everyone and not the best choice for stock on a mass produced car. The stock LS3 cam is mild...but still lets you know it is there.

I love cams that load up and stall the engine if idling to long.

Mine feels like it has a miss when at idle...not all the time, just every once in awhile.
for a car with 400 miles, shouldn't be doing this IMO.
