You bet I would complain to the shop owner, thats a huge case of orange peel and due to fact thats is a black car that makes it worse, was the paint guy on drugs or booze???

Sorry to hear of you bad luck.

We brought my wifes blazer to a shop that did really good work for us in the past(2000 z28, 1996 S10, 1999 z24), but they must have hired a new team. We first noticed a couple runs and some orange peel. We were lucky and they worked hard to fix the problem. They even painted a wing(factory wing, but 10 years in the sun really did some damage) for free on our 1999 z24 for the trouble.

I hope you can get the problem resolved. I would become the paint shops biggest nightmare until they fix it..

Actually if you went through Geico just call them. The stand behind their work 100% and they will either send you to another shop or force the shop you used to fix the issue.

I think he meant that the guy graduated with him in 2007.

Sorry to hear about your car. The only option you have is to sue the company in small claims court. I would get estimates from other shops so that you have ammo in court as to the damage amount.

Good luck on your situation!

Well it wasn't a 7th grader (I graduated '07, that's what I meant, should have specified) but I'm about to kick someone's ass for this terrible *@#^ing paint job. Especially after the shop owner sat there with his arms crossed and told me "I don't think it's as bad as you think it is Matt". Don't tell me what I think is wrong you bastard, you messed it up in the first place.

I would have went through Geico but they told me there wasn't any affiliated body shops around me since I live way out in BFE, MN. The result was me picking a shop to go to, which apparently I rolled the wrong damn number and went to this one.

Yeah that sucks... BBB is your last hope. Also if you have a chamber of commerce you may want to bark up that tree.

Don't let him screw you again by getting so upset. Take the proper steps that other members are suggesting and he will have to make it right. Don't settle on anything that isn't right just don't let this consume you. Easier said than done, I know.

I have been doing paint and body work since I was 14, and I can honestly say that my work then was not as bad as that garbage. That is a total disgrace, and I am sad to say you are probably goin to have to threaten to sue GEICO.
