Hello all!

Hello ladies and gentleman, my name is Rick and I am new to your forum. I was invited here by Tribone, as we met the other night in Ontario when the F-bod father was out setting up the show. I have been a Camaro enthusiast for more years than I can remember. I have owned some really awesome cars, with over 20 of them being some of the nices muscle cars and modern muscle.

I love all things Camaro and am glad to see the new generation of enthusiasts, as well as see many of you old farts get a chance to buy your soul back after you sold your first Camaro for whatever life threw at you in the 60-90's. I currently own a 1967 RS that is a complete subframe-off resto, two 2002 SS', and a 2000-SS as a daily driver. I am a 4th gen fanatic and absulutely love the performance that these cars deliver. I am very happy to see the new cars in the dealer showrooms, and love to see them on the road.

I look forward to meeting all of you and learning about the new Gen 5,as I am sad to say I have absolutely no knowledge of them at all. I am still learning the difference between an LS, LT, 1SS, 2SS and so forth. I have a pretty good knowledge base of the 1st-4th gen, so if there is anything I can assist with please let me know. Happy motoring all!

Thank you. I have to tell you all, it is a strange feeling owning my car, knowing it is not the newest version any longer. Did I mention that I have yet to drive the new car yet?

Welcome to C5, we're glad to have you. I guess you can call me one of the old farts (50+ yrs old - yup, I think that qualifies)...

My first Camaro was an '80 Z28, lost it in my divorce in '90. Baztard ran it into the ground, no respect for muscle.

Glad to have you aboard for the ride. This forum is just awesome, filled with everything about our new 2010-2011's and everything else in between. And the folks here are just outstanding. Lori

PS: Pics please of your '67..

Welcome aboard Rick! I am a relatively new member to the site, live in So Cal (near Reagan Library...which is potentially a great cruise for Gen 5 members to see Air Force One on display!!!).

I am definately going to reclaim my soul very soon! I sold my hugger orange 1969 Camaro SS 396 in 1978 and have been a "eunuch" ever since! I am trying to get them back now! Please don't confuse this dialogue with the wobbly shifter comment in another thread earlier! DOH!

I am coming up on "double nickels" next BDAY and hope to indulge myself by finally getting something orange wrapped around me again!

There are some really neat people at this site and a heck of a lot of good information and intel!

Again welcome aboard.

Jim

Thank you again folks for the warm welcome.

Lori, if that is you in your avatar, you do not look 50, so whatever your formula is, please let me know.

Jim, I just moved out of the west valley and Simi was not too far away from me. I truly hope you are able to get your sole back with a new set of wheels. I am a big fan of the 1969 RS/SS 396, and would love to have an original 69 some day. My fiance totally loved Camaro's too, so that makes it extra fun. The hardtop '02 SS is hers, and is the fastest out the bunch (only because of some better gear ) I will post some pics up as soon as I can.

Any friend of tribone is a friend of mine Welcome aboard buddy. Not at double 5's yet but 47. Spent many years working on friends Z28's and Iroc's and now have my very own muscle in the Bee Bee.

I still need to post some pics pf my cars, LOL! I guess I should do that now while I am thinking about it.

Edit: Here you all are, enjoy.

Here are my cars.
This is Molly, my 2000 SS, pretty much stock looking for the most part.

Here is Ellie, and she looks pretty much the same way.

This is Lottie, our 2002 SS. She now wears Limited Edition wheels, and if I can find pics, I will show them off. SOM looks awesome with LE wheels!!

And this is Eve, my 1967 Camaro. The car has not changed in over a year :(
