SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

Okay just got back from the SD auto show and took several pics.Making my way through the Chevy section i noticed that the Volt nor the Cruze were there.Maybe i just missed them but if anyone would care to explain.Back to the subject after going through countless malibus, tahoes and cobalts(oh my!) i finally found her and man was she a beauty. The thing was they had her behind ropes in the no-touchy zone, so sorry if these pics are a little "i've already seen that"-ish.

on a side note:when i was at the mustang section they were letting people get up close to the car but not for the camaro.I guess it just shows how much more important the 'Maro really is.(that or they didnt want people to think the interior was final production.)

Nice pics! The rear wheels on the race car sure seem small compared to the wheel opening...but I like that Blue!

Did you find out what kind of wheels those are? I still have a bad feeling about the ones I saw in PHX, AZ. The ones in Phoenix looked like they were just simply painted on with some nail polish. Whatever these wheels are... I wan't those!

I also really like that interior. Now if they just offered that black with gray (two-tone) for cloth I will have my interior picked out.

Those are Fikse Profil 5Ss. I asked about them too. They're forged wheels and are super light but don't come cheap. A set of 4 will run you nearly $5,000.

There are only two Volts -- one is overseas -- the other is being prepared for NAIAS.

Cruze makes its U.S. debut at NAIAS.......

Don't know for sure. I just haven't seen it in any pictures yet. But if the Grey looks like that (just cloth) I'd be very happy Will this cost more? If so, is it the same amount as the inferno orange interior package?

Pretty sure that it'll look the same and won't cost extra. Fbodfather would know for sure but since he already burned up his 1 post per day quota talking about the Volt and Cruze which we care oh so much about....

Those smaller wheels are still 18's, I believe. They probably used them to;

a: lower the ride height

b: lower unsprung weight

c: fit slicks that don't cost a zillion dollars or

d: all of the above

The latest "Popular Science" (Has Stealth Bomber on the cover) has an article about future green fuel technologies and it has a chart comparing various systems. On that chart they list "Electric" cars and only list the $100K+ Tesla car. On the lower part of the chart they have a row for "Plug in Hybrid" and on that they list the "$22,000 Toyota Prius" and the "$40,000 Chevy Volt".

I thought the volt was all electric with a gasoline backup. Why do they call it a hybrid?

Did Chevy just get shafted by the media again?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^<<<<<<<<<<<------------- Sounds like it to me. And that price is pure speculation too. No prices have been announced.

See you all at NAIAS!

Never ask this before but...is there a carpet liner for the trunk lid? I've seen the one for the engine hood now several times and just wondering did GM put one on the trunk too?
