Is this the same version from this thread (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91543)? I didn't go back and read the whole thing, but if I remember right no one wanted to fork over that kind of money with out an assurance from CAPA it had been fitted to the LLT.

You'll are right about it, I posted that earlier when I was talking to CAPA. I dont know the true specifics for this yet, sorry I didn't post this earlier, but the supercharger will work for the LY7 engine. I'm not sure exactly how far off the LLT that we have is from it. I do believe that the engines are pretty similar other than the SIDI function that ours has. If someone else could shed more light to this then it would be really helpful.

Ok below is some info I pulled from some GMtech website:

3.6L LY7 DOHC VVT 60° V6

245-260 hp @ 6200-6500 rpm
235-255 tq @ 3200 rpm
Aluminum heads and block
4 overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder
continuously variable cam phasing with integral exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
10.2:1 compression
94mm bore, 85.6mm stroke
FWD & RWD

3.6L LLT DOHC VVT DI 60° V6

302-305 hp @ 6300-6400 rpm
272-273 tq @ 5200 rpm
Aluminum heads and block
4 overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder
continuously variable cam phasing with integral exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
11.3:1 compression
Direct Fuel Injection (DI)
94mm bore, 85.6mm stroke
RWD only

So how much of a difference is there really between ours and the LY7?

So the LY7 is not DI? That's a pretty big deal isn't it?

Well, yeah I guess that part is the biggest difference between the engines, then why can't a supercharger designed for the LY7 work on the LLT?

ok i may be wrong but is this a supercharger application you bolt on?

cause i called my contact at vortech and they did not make a supercharger for the v6. but they do have a gm motor out there with a vortech set up if i understood right but not for the new camaros.

if i am wrong and on the wrong subject please correct, but from the form i did not see what the application was for, it did not say camaro 2010

i just looked at the instructions again and what it seems to be is they took the supercharger from the v8 and made there own setup. cause i see some piping on there that vortech would not use. but hey i give them props for making there own setup from a v8
