I agree 100%. Camaro and Mustang will love on. I doubt Chrysler itself will survive, let alone the Challenger. And I have no doubt the surviving pony cars will be smaller, lighter, and less powerful. The only question in my mind, will this be a repeat of the bad old days, with anemic engines in poorly styled bodies, or will GM and Ford rise to the occasion and put some mind-blowing, highly advanced engines in that meet requirements and still make the cars every bit as fun as they are now, if not more so? I still hope we can get V8s, even if they are smaller V8s. There's just something iconic about it. I'm hoping for something around the size of an RX-8 or 3 series Coupe, with high output 4 and 6 cyl engines, and a V8 crammed in their for the top model.

Don't forget the 84-88 fiero, RIP. If GM had built the 88 model in 84 like the engineers had originally planned, there probably would be no need for a solstice today. My 88 formula gets better mileage, handles better, has better visibility, interior space and the kicker, TRUNK SPACE. (who'd have thought in a mid-engine car?) moral of the story is, shortcuts kick you in the balls in the long run. Luckily GM seems to have taken their time and done the Camaro right, right out of the gate.

What about the trailblazer ss 3 years and they had to be making money on them just changing the motor and some other hi perf parts on an already in production truck.

TBSS is a trim level/option package/whatever...the Trailblazer is still being made. That would be like talking about the convertible Camaro. They might quit making that after 2 or 3 years but keep the Camaro coupe in production.
