Mobil 1 vs Motul 300V

Anyone have experience with the Motul oil? OK, so it's not GM certified, but my car is 2010 and coming up on its end of warranty.

My friends swear by the Motul 300V oil. Did some searching and found this on a website:

Can you believe a motor oil will provide more RWBHP?

The Motul is suppose to have a higher zinc content for extended high rev applications such as found in track days.

What are the race teams using, I wonder?

I've heard good things about Amsoil too. Would it be OK to use a different viscosity than OEM? Like 0W40 or 15W40 for more zinc content?

Also, does Amsoil have all the enviromental additives in it? I'm told that the Motul 300V are not compatible with North American standards in this respect.

Thanks.

I just changed the oil on my 2012 2ss at 1100 miles and used Royal Purple 5-30 and the car runs so much cooler! It also revs up so easy, the Royal Purple made a big difference. If you are wondering, I don't work for Royal Purple or want to promote this product; maybe Mobil 1 would do the same thing, don't know.

It is a fact that Mobil 1 full synthetic has been proven time
and time again to be the best choice for the LSX engines.
If I were you I would use what GM recommends using
Mobil 1 full synthetic and a AC Delco or Mobil 1 oil filter
every oil change.
Mobil 1 is endorsed and highly recommended by GM engineering.

This.

Look at all the shops that use Amsoil here on C5.
