Ford had to add a sound induction tube to the 5.0 so you can hear the damn engine, that's too quiet. The 4.6 sounded much better(though was an inferior engine is all respects), especially the 2v 4.6 MY 99-04; it's all subjective.

They added the sound tube to make it sound better. If you can't hear a 5.0 V8, there is something wrong with you.

Heated seats, nav, etc is not what I would call "Must haves".

If you are spending $500+ a month or $40k+ then most people would expect those to come with it. Hell, even $19k Hyundai's have heated and cooled rear seats nowadays..... Know what I mean ?

It sounded superb and the exhaust note made it sound like more of a sophisticated and expensive car versus a rumbling caveman sound(that is universally loved nonetheless) LSx V8. Just made it sound more like a sports car(vs muscle), matching the unique looks better IMO. Yeah my Infiniti sounds good from the outside, but ehh.... It's alright from inside haha.

I agree. Though personally I am not a fan of the sound of the newer V8's(LS3, 392, 5.0) compared to even ones from 10 years ago, they are too mundane and relaxed.... That's not to say they aren't excellent engines and performers, they are ! But mustang 4.6 2v, LS1, LT1 all come to mind as some of the V8 sounds that really come to life and always sound great.
Though I love the sound of a V8 I do agree over the sounds vs looks. These Camaros look futuristic and a futuristic sound couples better with the looks. I remember when these came out it was even admitted that the v6 is the more technologically advanced car, due to the LLT's design. V6 cars may not sound as grumbly and strong as a V8 but you have to admit they sound more refined and advanced. I think the GTR proves my point.

I think the 5th gen V6 does need a louder exhaust combo to sound real good but I'm happy with the stock sound for a daily driver.

Deer ran out in front of me on the highway....

^I was going to get the Infiniti emblem but.... A car ran over it, it made a loud pop sound and the officer thought it was a gunshot. :( Initial estimate at $3100(which seems low to me), but was told by a body shop that Allstate underwrote the estimate. But while it's in the shop i got a v6 camaro rental.... Rides much better, wider, less roll side to side too. I really like this..... But it doesn't feel like 312 hp, it's auto. It feels noticeably heavier too, which is a good and a bad thing, mostly good(feels more planted and stable).

So you haven't heard the E60 M5 exhaust note, the best there is. Oh and for v8 SS, I wish I could get my exhaust note on here on sound clip, I will try in next 2 weeks when my car is back on the road.

How much smack are your friends talking now? I get the same kind of respect here. For some reason the general public thinks that the 5th gen SS is slow.

If its a 2012 or newer V6, its 323HP...which makes it even worse I know lol. Now I'm not saying a stock V6 Camaro is as quick as your car, but I will say that the Camaro in general does not feel as fast as it is. Because of the tight outward view and the long view over the hood it just doesn't seem like your building speed that fast. 70MPH feels more like 50 or 60...whereas in my wife's Eclipse, 70 feels like 80 or 90 to me because of the different field of view and the size of the car. It feels quick when in reality I know its not nearly as quick as my modded V6.

The softer ride also takes some of the feeling of speed away in my opinion. Many 5th gen SS owners have said their car didn't "feel" as quick as a 4th gen LS1.

Just some food for thought.
