Gorilla Lug Nut Help

Hey guys really quick question because I am putting my lug nuts on right now.... I have the Gorilla 20 pack of locking lug nuts.... What should I torque them to?

I have ZL1 black 10-spoke wheels and the Gorilla lug nuts are the OEM style part #966 something

Thank you

Colin Gordon

GM factory Spec is 140 foot lbs
with that being said I have my gorrillas torqued to I think 120 foot lbs.
140 just seemed too damn tight.

I should add with aftermarket rims your results will vary.

yeah I was thinking 140 was to high.... I have my ZL1 wheels torqued to 110 right now with the OEM 1LT lug nuts (not sure if that makes a difference) but I think 110 - 120 LBS should be good!

and by the way their not aftermarket.... They are the real deal ZL1 wheels :headband:

The wheels on the SS get torqued to 140
On the ZL1, they get torqued to 110.

Check your owners manual, on my 2012 it stated the lug nuts with the blue tint was to be torqued at 110, silver at 140.

I have a 45th so I'm assuming it has something to do with the rims??

No fence.... But if your read original post but I have AFTERMARKET lugnuts but OEM ZL1 wheels.... So my manual Chevrolet manual would have no information on the aftermarket lug nuts

A buddy of mine owns a tire shop and he told me to torque them to 110 but the most important thing is to retorque them after about 25 miles, and again after about a week. I checked mine after a week and found that about half of them were below 110.

Look in your owners manual. Mine says 110 ft/lbs that is with a 1le with zl1 wheels.

Tighten until it screams, then half a turn more.
