because the radio streams Bluetooth from ipad into the audio system. I pad don't have a power out for the speakers

just to throw you another cool option for this or you guys with amps. You could do an ipad to a dock that is native 12v. The ipad would be your headunit and the dock would send RCA or optic out to a processor. The processor would then send proper freq.s to amps. The only thing behind the ipad would be HVAC then. This is cool man.

Not necessarily. The alpine unit pretty much acts as an equalizer. The ipad is hard wired to the head unit via lightning cable. The head unit also allows me to have a full system with rca's in for amps that will power the replacement speakers and subs.

So how did you do the fiberglass enclosure, do you have a background in it or was this your first try. I really need to figure out how to do something like this.
