Thank you gents. Its all in the driver honestly. If you know how to properly launch your RWD you shouldn't have any issues with any AWD cars.

I have driven both and the srt8 Cherokee was not as awe inspiring performance wise as people talk it up to be, with that being said it is one of the most comfortable and badass suv's I've ever driven 😎

For those saying the GC SRT isoverpriced, I invite you show me another new SUV that offers all the performance, features, handling, and luxury for anywhere NEAR the price of entry for a GC SRT8. Anyways, I am not surprised. 13s had the old 5 speed auto and were already handicapped by all the extra weight, 14s seem to be considerably quicker with the new 8 speed auto and other updates.

I had the exact same outcome when I was up against my friends '13 Jeep SRT-8. He got a jump, but I was able to pull him in and keep pulling away, I have a L99. Beautiful SUV though.

The jeeps are flying bricks, nice flying bricks though. Ask him if he wants to try again, but on a track?
He also has an auto, so the skil set required is pushing 1 petal down! An ape can do it. Nothing wrong with autos, but it's not really the same game. |

I got an 08 jeep, raced many of camaros and actually the auto guys have been closer than the manual. I take camaro's greatly up to around 70-80 then you guys pull up and about equal at 100. Gotta remember no matter what stock for stock you will get a jeep if you get to high enough speeds, I'm pushing 5k pounds haha.
To be honest most auto SS with CAI/ tune get much closer on me than a few ZL1 and boosted manual SS's. My car is easy as pound it down and hold on, not much too it, obviously a 5k pound SUV isn't a drivers car haha. |

Stock ss will run with a stock 08 srt8 even or a head to 60, then your behind the rest if the way. Including blown ss's and zl1's is silly. You compete with ss for 4 seconds in a straight line. Why do you think it would be the same when the ss. Or zl1 has 150-300 more hp? Srt8 are great, but good at beating ss's charged are not they are not |

Unfortunately a lot of people can't handle the power of a blown car, even from the factory. And I am in no way saying my NA jeep is faster than a boosted car overall, so don't turn it into that cause that just makes us both look dumb. Anyone who races at high speed on public roads is an idiot anyways in my book. Also yes I compete with a CAR with a 5000lb SUV for 4 or less seconds, so yeah I'd have to say I am happy with that haha. Gotta not be so sensitive man haha. Calm down, of course a properly launched SS with a perfect launch is faster than a big SUV, and rightfully so it should be with 1k lbs less on it with close hp. That all being said, hope this spring to add a maggie to the Camaro and really have some fun. Sometimes these forums can be a bad influence |

Come on, you right a nice post, that offers a completely respectable opinion and then finish with this jab!
Wasn't being sensitive, am calm as a cucumber. I'm a jeep lover as well. I'm actually restoring an old cj-7 |
