Thumbs down Roto-fab carbon fiber finish peeling

Getting a consensus to know if other C5 members that have the Roto-fab carbon fiber "finish" CAI is peeling or bubbling? I have had mine for 30 days and it's already blistering severely.

Roto fab contacted me to rectify. My issue seems isolated from the responses on the forum. No fluids were spilled, clean install. Thank you C5 for all your inputs and thanks to Roto fab for contacting me.

When I was installing my Rotofab I ran into a slight issue. I shot them an email with pictures from my phone. They replied within an hour. On a Saturday. At 10:30 pm.

Actually, you're not alone. I had the elbow develop the bubbling you're talking about and called Roto-fab. I sent them pics of the problem and they sent out a new piece right away. They asked the same question as above about anything being spilled on it but I didn't and they were good with that. I have since noticed some bubbling on the housing piece that I was planning on calling them about this coming week. They're great people and stand by their products so I expect that I will have a wonderful outcome this second time around as well.

Here are my pics that I took this afternoon. I was reading a couple of different hydro dip service web sites and most say it is a 4 step process.

1-Prep/prime
2-Paint (if required for a base coat)
3-Dip
4-Clear

To be honest my tubing out of the box looked like step 3 was the only step completed as you can see the stock plastic texture through the dip material. I may forego the CF dip and just get plain black plastic.

Yes it happens and I suggest anyone with the same issue contact Roto Fab. They were fast to act to rectify. I have sent the peeling/ bubbling MAF and elbow pieces back. I installed the new pieces and only with time will I see if the new pieces hold up. I hope they will and thank Roto Fab for being very professional and acting quickly.
