So I figured the Loungers would get a kick out of this. This 17 year old that goes to my school has a 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA. This engine has a shitty LB9 in it. And pulled about 235 hp at the factory. This kid puts the car on the dyno expecting around 235, and instead (unsurprisingly) pulls 186hp.

He's pissed about these numbers and claims that it's the dyno's fault. I explain that factory horsepower numbers aren't reliable and that all cars have power loss after so many years.

Side note, this kid gets extremely offended when a girl knows more about cars than him. And then sent me this screenshot.

I'm not really one of those people that bring feminism into everything, and I wouldn't call myself a feminist, but I absolutely hate when car guys demean women for knowing more about cars than them, but respect other guys when they know more.
