Boiling at 220 degrees

Coolant boiling at 220 degrees, it runs at 190-205normally. But when I turn the car off and the temp rises to 220-225. That is when I hear boiling. Is there any fixes for this before I take my car in? Only mod is high flow cats, no tune.

I would think a leak in the system has occurred, and check for that or a weak cap.

If it truly is afterboil, a friend just had a problem with his car. Check the cap. Afterboil means the system isn't getting up to proper pressure.

bad radiator cap most likely. The system should be under pressure at all times, the pressure changes the boiling temp to a much higher tempurature.

Check for leaks in the hoses as well.

as a general FYI, a 15psi system will raise the boiling temp to just about 247*F (when working correctly).
