No wonder GM can get away with so much.
Well sir, many times those kind of safety devices become pacifiers for people ,and they stop using the brains that god gave them. That in itself can be dangerous. Stay off the phone, pay attention to the task at hand ,which is driving, and you won't need those types of devices.

Those kind of safety devices are being developed because the powers that be know that people do everything in a car other than what the should be the main focus which is driving.

Blind spot? Just learn to properly adjust your mirrors. There is no location around my car that I cannot see a vehicle in and I only have to check my mirrors.

+1 to this!

To the OP...go buy a civic. This has to be one of the dumbest threads I've seen.

This is it. I have my mirrors adjusted so that I don't have a blind spot.

Oh how sad. Someone doesn't agree with the herd and everyone gets upset..

Again missing the point, but no worries. I now understand why GM can get away with so much for so long.

Thanks everyone!

A lot of sedans are loaded with convenience and safety features but don't deliver in the performance or feel of driving versus a camaro or very sporty coupe.

When you do look at more performance focused cars like the Camaro, they tend not to offer as many of those features for more of a focus on the 'driving experience'.

I imagine that is part due to a desire to offer the most bang for your buck performance wise, and also that the target market for this car not placing as much importance on extra features.

That's not to say the Camaro is lacking in available technology and features.. heated steering wheel/seats, heads up display, android auto/carplay, rear camera & sensor, lane change, cross traffic, auto dimming mirror, collision warning, etc.. You can't expect everything in my opinion, there will always be other features other automakers have added on that aren't in the model you want.

I'm sure additional cameras for improved visibility will become more common in cars going forward. I saw the rear-view mirror camera feature on the CT6 and that looks awesome, but all that stuff will take time before it becomes more prevalent on new models.
Hey man THANKS!! Great answer and very thoughtful and not bashing. I truly do appreciate it.

Also, there are aftermarket products that accomplish precisely what you want.

I test drove a Accord with these cameras, Absolutely terrible because you see the movement of video on your dash and it was distracting.
