Used it for years. Nothing like being on the highway in a hard down pour, everyone else starts to slow down and put their 4-ways on, I'm driving regular speed, can see great out the windshield and the wipers aren't even on!!!

rainx is GREaT. use it on all vehicles. Another way to see better during rain is polarized glasses, takes the glare off the water.

Use to love RainX.... but now it just annoys me. It leaves a film on the glass which can cause a smear look when using your windshield wipers if you don't keep that stuff applied like crazy.

Rain-X itself does not smear. The smearing is caused by contaminants on the wiper blades. Clean blades with rubbing alcohol,Reapply Rain-X and try again.

I use the rain-x additive in my washer fluid...works great and there's nothing to apply.

Rain-X online is a product applied to the entire car. It fully cures to a protective shell in 24 hours. Rain-X isn't just for glass anymore. The only problem is, it is only available at your better car washes.

I just tried it for the first time last week. Maybe I applied too much, but it was rather hard to take away the excess once it "hazed". I really had to scrub hard with a microfiber towel. On the plus side, the results are wonderful. The rain breaks into tiny beads which roll right off the glass. The wipers don't smear (even with my 4 year old wipers on the civic) and glide silently!
I haven't put on the one for the interior of the windows yet (I was was just too tired of scrubbing as I'd already done the washing, cleaning, polish wax and rain-x on my wife's mazda-5!) Phil |
