Looks great Jim. All of Halltech's Carbon Fiber stuff is expensive, I hope they come out with a standard plastic tube

Don't you think that the carbon fiber would add just a bit to the price? The same thing with the aluminum ones. An aluminum piece that is tig welded is going to cost more than a plastic piece. The retail price will reflect that. This particular piece will find its market under the hood of show-type cars with owners who demand a good looking unit that is better than stock. Being carbon fiber won't add anything to the performance just the looks. Some people want the carbon fiber look. Some want bang-for-the-buck.

I don't mind sacrificing a little extra $$$ for a part to have it nice looking at the same time as functional, but, not that much.

Is that the same filter used on the newer duramax diesel 2500 & 3500 trucks?

You get what you pay for, all the cheaper ones that are all basically the same are under $300, but if your look around alot of them are above $300. I know hennessy, ADM, new era, and more from the better known brands are above $300. In fact after doing some very quick research I would say nearly all the air intakes for this car are over $300 with the under $300 being the minority. Heck the cold air intake on my old civic si was over $300.

Very sharp I like the look, I second the Jannetty Racing question, I for one am waiting to see the results of this test before I make any decisions.

For any Manufacturer not involved in the test:

It shows a lack of confidence in their own product, and Consumers won't have a true, unbiased review of its performance.

I wouldn't agree with that fully
