I use adhesion promotor then Duplicolor and duplicolor clearcoat. Works fine.

Just like Baron said. Use a good coat of promoter and then use some Dupli-Color of your choice. I painted mine and I didn't even clear coat them.
The "heat" that high heat paint is referring to is much much hotter than your engine cover will ever see. You'll be fine using a rattle can |

Thanks for the advice but i also have an other question. I saw this Rust-O-elm spray paint at home depot that has a metallic/chrome finish. ive never seen anything like it, but im thinking it would look cool if i painted the engine cover

Local paint shop got the factory correct color, did the airbox, fuse cover and engine cover for $150.00, even has clear coat. Fuse cover used a sharpie to fill in and local place for decals ( $15.00 ).

What can I use to re-attach my CAMARO letters, from the fenders, to the engine cover? Is there such thing as a high heat glue?
