Castrol full sysn exceeds M1, but after a hard break-in I would go with a premium like Amsoil. I shy away from RP.

Mobil 1! I have used it in my last four vehicles both GM and Ford. |

+1 for amsoil. I wouldn't use Mobil 1 personally.

I use Castrol Edge that meets Dexos specifications and it works real fine. No need to use anything else.

Not for the rear diff. I used it and made my rear SUPER noisy. The GM rear diff product is best

When I had my 2011, it even stated use Mobil 1 on the oil filler cap, and that's what I used.
When I took my 2013 ZL1 in for it's first oil change, I just assumed it would use Mobil 1 by deafult as well. But when talikng with the service advisor, the dealer owner stopped by to tell the service advisor not to charge me for the oil change. Somewhere in the conversation , the subject of Mobil 1 came up and the service advisor told the owner that Mobil 1 would cost more? I told him I didn't care about the higher cost, I wanted them to make sure to use Mobil 1. |

Nothing wrong with Castrol Edge. As for the top five oils, that is a matter of opinion for the most part. They are pretty much all good quality oils. Just depends on what you want to do. If you are looking at extended drains then you want a synthetic like AMSOIL's Signature Series oil or Mobil 1's extended performance as well as Redline and Royal Purple. |

After much research I run AMSOIL's Signature Series
