Well, there has been a discussion on the BMR motor mounts here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=397167 and I noted the part # differences between the 2010-2011 model years and 2012-2015 here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=53 SO... I do have the BMR mounts, yet, I don't like the idea of replacing the bushings if I do any 'real' amount of road racing. With that in mind, I decided to order the 2012 and up motor mounts that are used on the 1LE, Z28, and ZL1. If they are what I believe them to be, they'll be about 1/4" lower than the 10/11's and, won't have the NVH of the BMR! If that is the case, then, I'll install those puppies over the winter (headers have to come off) and put them on. I'll put in new plugs since I'll have to remove them anyway along with new exhaust gaskets. Let's hope for us 10-11 owners, these are shorter. That would allow me to have my 'room' back on the strut bar (no 1/4" washers!)... I'll know tomorrow if they are the same height as the BMR lowering mounts... -Don

Well, my Z28/ZL1/1LE mounts came in. Here is a shot of the BMR and Z28 mounts side by side:
Taking into account the small height difference for the bushing not fully tighten down, they are the same height -- without the 1/4 in plate! That would mean, they will lower 1/4" for the 10/11 -- and I'll verify that. These look like they are 4 3/4". Once I get the original out, I'll check them. I like this as these are factory AND they were put on the Z28/ZL1/1LE for TRACK purposes! Very cool if that is the case (and it appears to be)! -Don

Thanks! Since these were designed for use with a supercharger, made sense to me! Gonna be a bit before I find time to install them, but looks like a nice upgrade for the 10/11 gen 5 folks!

Hammdo probably a stupid question but did you use 3/8 or 1/2" hose for your catch can connections ? I bought all 3/8 fittings for my new catch can then was unsure if the breather ports on the valve covers take 3/8 or 1/2". the 3/8 goes on snug but doesn't push over the ridge on the valve cover ports.

3/8" for mine. For the MightMouse, I used 'formed' 3/8 lines from the factory 'vent' tube, and 3/8 Fuel Injector hose for the 'clean side' catch can. The fuel injection hose have a 'teflon' lined tube inside of the hose.
1/2 would be fine if you can get the fittings -- will 'breath' better, but 3/8 will do if you run the boost level of 6-9 PSI... -Don

Shoot, weather didn't co-operate (and neither did the job) this weekend, so, looks like I'll have to do these updates AFTER my HPDI event.
Looking into the vented pistons for the brakes (z06 vented part # 23242510). If I do any kind of tracking, I'll want to upgrade to these. So far, not needing them, but to 'have' them on hand, not a bad idea... -Don
