To cut or not to cut-opinions
Well for about the past 4-6 years my hair has been thinning/receding. I tried the rogaine/propecia and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I try to hide it best I can with gel and spray but I think it’s becoming obvious. Been thinking about getting not a complete shave but a burr cut. I keep going back and forth with the idea but can’t make up my mind.
Anyone out there in a similar situation? Here is a photo tell me what you think about my look and a drastic cut.

It actually doesn't look bad at all right now. You've got time my friend. I gave up once it was obvious to me, purchased a set of clippers, and haven't looked back.

buzz it as short as you can. See how that feels, then once you like it, shave it. Once you shave it, you will never go back. Love taking care of that... out of shower, dry off, and you are done.

Dude, you look fine...
Anyway, if you are thinking about it then it probably is time, I recommend shaving with clippers, using a razor takes some practice. But as long as you own it, and don't try to hide it with a combover you will be fine. Just keep in mind that when you do shave your head it will be a lot colder Also, check out Joe Rogan Podcast # 574, Dr. Mark Gordon was on (He's an MD who specializes in Head Trauma and Hormone Replacement) he was saying how Propecia and Rogain cause chemical imbalances and may help you retain some hair but the side effects (ED, depression, mood disorders, etc.) are way worse...

Honestly at first I thought you were joking because you got a whole lot more than I do. I've lost a lot of mine from Chemo and the days of having a goodly amount of hair are gone for me as it never came back to my younger days and my new meds tell me I'll be losing even more. Just do what you are comfortable with and its just hair, it'll grow back for you, if your unhappy with your choice. Life is short so mix it up and have some fun.

I have hair and still love the buzz cut. Been doing it for almost 15yrs. I had shoulder length hair and one day decide that was enough. My wife cant stand it. If she'd let me I'd shave my head bald. As it is I go as low as I can with a set of clippers. Once you get used to it you'll never go back. As mentioned it is colder but a hat can take of that.

Talked it over with the Wife last night she thinks it looks fine and doesn’t want me to do anything. She did say if I want to buzz it’s fine with her but I need to wait until after the holiday parties. I think she doesn’t want to be near me should it look ridiculous. J
