scratches on drivers side rocker...

Can these possibly be repaired or at least lessened with a heat gun? I don't want them to look bad, but the scratches kill me to see... They aren't terrible, but they bother me. Anyone have any luck at least reducing visibility of scratches in plastic with a heat gun?

Go to your local auto parts store and purchase a spray can of Duplicolor trim paint. Shake the can up well and spray into a cup. Use a fine tip artist brush and color the scratch. It won't be perfect but it will conceal it some. Make sure you clean with rubbing alcohol first. Don't put it on thick it will just run out of the scratch. Multiple light coats. Good luck!

That part of the rockers is not painted. Might have to use like a satan black not gloss. It should conceal it. Maybe.

The paint is a flat finish. I've used it to respray textured plastic vents and it worked well. You have to use an adhesion promoter.

I would be tempted to try a fine point sharpie.

Had the same issue. Took off the rocker panel and a local body shop filled it and matched it perfectly. Cost $60

Interesting. Any idea what they used to match the texture? I would just buy a new one, but half of it is painted and I don't want to pay all that money to get a new one painted...
