[QUOTE=Justin87GN;8605329]We are going to try this, along with methanol injection. Where did you put the pheneolic spacers at?
Under the supercharger, it acts like insulation and lowers the metal to metal temp increase way down when the pheneolic is placed between the cylinder heads and blower. |

I more or less did what you are trying to do in my vette. I maxed out the eforce at 780 rwhp through a 6L80.
The meth helps a little, but once you start spinning the blower at its limit, the heat is tough to beat. I went with a bigger reservoir for more capacity, and a stronger pump. It all helps a little and the iats were not a real problem on the street. At the track you need cool down time or ice to get things down after a run. I liked my eforce a lot, and its a great, trouble free blower for a fun street car. It is just not the right choice if you want big power though. It can be done much easier with a centri.

anyone else notice his dyno pulls have the eforce coil covers on? Holy heat shields batman! That will hold in tons of heat.

My IAT temps with m1 methanol go from 120 when cruising on 92 degree day to around 47-52 when meth is spraying

On an eforce ?? Only possible if you moved the IAT sensor and sprayed on it, which is not a true reading.

i had the same problem here in Brazil... i had the edelbrock and changed for the V7 ySI, i liked so much... the edelbrock imo is good for stock internals, or forged internals with stock compression ratio. I think a good spot for Edelbrock is 10psi, after that, heat would be a problem

Same here I don't get that kind of variance and I'm close to the MAF. I get about 27 degrees cooler, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bringing back this thread from the dead.
Most recent update on the car. Went to a new tuner and laid down 693/727 spiking right under 10psi boost. Since the last time the car was on the dyno, we added an Afco heat exchanger with dual fans & Stewart EMP pump with custom programming. The car had actually blown the cats out as well which had flaked apart and clogged up the exhaust. Now we are catless as well. We also added a Weld RTS drag pack, and removed the windshield washer reservoir to get my air to the intake. The car drives amazing now and pulls incredibly hard! It is still getting hot towards the end of the run (overspinning the E-Foce) NEXT STEPS: A full porting of the supercharger and inlet. Nick williams 102 Throttle body, 5" intake tube. Also, the ZR1 clutch is not up to the task of 727 ft/lbs and is slipping bad. The car will be getting a McCloud RXT clutch and 3.5" aluminum driveshaft as well. We are hoping to run 10:70s with the car and have over 700 rwhp. I'll try and keep everyone updated as things progress. Thanks! |
