It is hard to defeat the laws of nature. In the South it is hot with high humidity, meaning lots of moisture in the air. When you cool your windshield, the hot moist air will condense on the glass. It does it with every car I own. You can add some warm air to the mix or turn it on and off as needed. Minor issue to deal with living in the South but due to our great Southern weather, my convertible top is down 90% of the time throughout the year.

When you have the a/c turned on, what setting do you have it on? Floor? Upper Vent? Floor and Upper Vent? Defog and Floor?

Humidity.
The A/C lowers the dew point on the glass. So when the moisture in the air hits the windshield some of it turns to liquid and collects. |

He's got it set on Defrost for where the air is coming out . OP change where the air is coming out to floor or Vent or both .

Houston resident here. We, too, get the stupid high humidity that OP has to deal with in northern LA, perhaps a bit more on occasion, especially with the stupid amount of rain we've had over the past 2 months. If you're running the air through the feet, it will happen. Will also happen if you're running through a split top vent/feet. To a lesser degree it will happen if you're only running it through the top vents. What helps it for me (which is impossible to do in some situations) is just be moving. I feel like the heat from the motor passing over the windshield helps it out. But I'm no science guy...just going by experience. You can also put the defrost on to a warmer temp to equalize the inside/outside temp for that part of the windshield, or just adjust the interior temp a little and it will also help. |

Put the air on a warmer temp and it should help. My buddy does this all the time lol usually happens here at night when it's really humid out like after it rains

Normally after it rains when it's warm out, we have stupid high humidity here in NJ. My solution has always been drive with the windows down and put the defrosters on a warm temp with a/c OFF. Pointing the a/c at the windshield will always create problems

Just so you know running the defroster will automatically turn the A/C compressor on regardless of the A/C "snowflake" button setting. If you turn the temp up warm enough that the computer doesn't call for any cool air to be generated then the A/C compressor will not run but having it set to Defrost with the A/C off will not prevent the A/C compressor from turning on. Set the temp cool enough and the A/C compressor will turn on regardless of the snowflake button setting.

Well regardless my temp knob is usually at least halfway up when doing that, the air is usually never cool. Plus I have the scosche kit, not the factory radio, not sure if that plays any part
